Paying Your Invoice

Updated by Russ

When your vehicle is ready and the repair order is finalized, your shop will send you an invoice and collect payment. ServiceProfessional supports several ways to pay, including a convenient Text to Pay option that lets you pay securely from your phone without needing to be at the shop in person.

How You'll Receive Your Invoice

Once your shop has finished the work and finalized your invoice, you may receive:

  • A text message with a payment link (if the shop uses Text to Pay)

  • A paper or printed invoice at the counter when you pick up your vehicle

  • A link through the Customer Portal where you can see your full repair history

If your shop has Text to Pay enabled, you'll receive an SMS on the phone number your shop has on file for you. The message will contain a secure link to your invoice.

What You'll See

Tap the link to open your invoice in a browser. The page shows:

  • Your shop's name

  • Your invoice number and date

  • The vehicle the work was performed on

  • A breakdown of services performed, with line-item amounts

  • The total amount due

  1. Tap the green Pay Now button.

  2. You'll be taken to a secure Revolution Payments hosted page to enter your card details.

Security note: Your card information is entered directly on a secure Revolution Payments page — it is never stored by ServiceProfessional or your shop.

Paying at the Shop

If you're paying in person, your service advisor will process payment through ServiceProfessional at the counter. Accepted methods typically include:

  • Credit or debit card (tapped, inserted, or swiped on the shop's terminal)

  • Cash

  • Check

  • Gift certificate

Ask your service advisor which options are available at your location.

Paying Through the Customer Portal

If your shop has the Customer Portal enabled, you can log in at any time to view your repair history and outstanding invoices. Look for the Pay option on any invoice that shows a balance due.

To access the portal:

  1. Visit your shop's customer portal link (your shop can provide this, or look for it in any email or text you've received from them).

  2. Log in with your email address.

  3. Navigate to Repair Orders to find your current or past invoices.

Frequently Asked Questions

I received a text with a payment link — is it legitimate?
Yes, if it came from your shop's phone number and references a vehicle or service you recognize. The link will open a page showing your shop's name and your invoice details before asking for any payment. If anything looks unfamiliar, call your shop directly to confirm.

Can I pay part of the invoice now and the rest later?
Your shop controls whether partial payments are accepted. Contact your shop directly if you'd like to arrange a payment plan.

The payment link says "Invoice not found" or "This link may have expired."
Payment links are tied to a specific invoice. If the invoice has already been paid or if the link was sent in error, you'll see this message. Contact your shop for a fresh link or to confirm your balance.

My payment was declined — what do I do?
The invoice page will show a "Payment Declined" message. Contact your shop and they can attempt the charge again or try a different payment method.

Can I get a receipt?
Your shop can provide a printed or PDF receipt. ServiceProfessional stores a full record of your payment — ask your service advisor for a copy.

I paid online but the shop says they haven't received it.
Online payments are confirmed in real time via webhook. In most cases the shop will see the payment immediately. If there's a discrepancy, your card's authorization code (shown on the confirmation page) is the reference your shop needs to look it up.
